THE BAND

Kathy McCoy // Lead Vocalist // Kathy loves to sing and has been singing in choral groups most of her life.  This has provided her with many musical opportunities such as touring Europe with the American Youth Jazz Band and Chorus of Delaware, and singing in top choral groups as a student and beyond (mostly at the University of Delaware). Over the past 10 years, she has been singing with the University of Delaware Schola Cantorum – a Symphonic Choir that regularly performs with the UD, Newark, and Delaware Symphony Orchestras.  To perform rock classics with West of One is a dream come true.

Randy Freed // Rhythm Guitar/Vocals // Randy has been playing rock, folk, and blues since high school days. West of One is his first band, and he’s having great fun playing great music with great people! 

Scott McCoy // Drummer // Born and raised in Delaware, Scott has played in many rock, classical, and jazz bands around the state of Delaware. He was selected as a member of the Delaware All-Sate Jazz Band, toured Europe and performed in and around Delaware with the American Youth Jazz Band, and was a member of the Widener University Jazz Band.  Scott and his wife Kathy (lead vocals for West Of One) moved to Lewes, DE in 2016 from Landenberg, PA.

Guy Pietrovito // Lead Guitar/Vocals // Guy started playing guitar in the 60s inspired by British blues rock bands and hoping to impress the girls in his neighborhood.  The girls weren’t impressed, but Guy is still playing the blues and rock and roll.

Dan Rogers // Bass Guitar // Dan is a multi instrument musician with band experience in multiple genres including classical, jazz, classic rock, blue grass, and Celtic.  Career highlights include performances at two world fairs, amphitheater performances on Lake Erie and Chautaqua Lake and performances in Washington DC in front of congressional members for political fund raisers. Dan and his wife left the weather in Erie PA for sunny DE to work as an oncology pharmacist for Beebe healthcare. Now retired,  I am thrilled to have this opportunity to collaborate with the talented musicians in West Of One.

Jim Satcher // Trumpet // Retired H.S. Band Director from Wilmington, DE.  He has performed in concert with The Temptations, jazz legends Phil Woods, Bill Watrous, Cab Calloway, and many others.  Also played with the Delaware Symphony, the Bay Atlantic Symphony, as well as, numerous theaters in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Fred Stangl // Tenor Saxophone // A retired Navy veteran, Fred now works as a software engineer and cloud architect. Originally from State College, PA, Fred arrived in Delaware after a long career of military and corporate life across the USA and overseas. Fred also played with the Milford Community Smooth Sound Big Band and The Downtown Dixieland Band.

Mike Srnik // Percussion//Vocals // Lewes resident, Navy Vet, by way of Chevy Chase MD who has a fever and needs more cowbell.

Jack Tootson // Keyboard // Jamming classic rock makes me a happy camper. I have found great opportunities in LSD to play percussion with the Rehoboth Concert Band, start rock bands and DJing. Music gives me venues to know terrific band mates and get audiences energized. “I get by with a little help from my friends” J. Lennon.

Sandy Shalk // Bass // Lewes resident, Sandy also gigs regularly in the Lewes and Rehoboth night scene .
